Order of Christian Workers

Until December 31, 2006, most of the Houses shown above were Community Houses, occupied by an average of 45 women, men, and children each month.
In the late fall of '06, the Board of Trustees realized that O.C.W. could no longer financially support the housing program, due to skyrocketing utility rates.

In the next two months, ownership of the houses transferred to new owners (and here's the good news!) most of whom are low-income working-family Companions in our Community.

We still use the Houses at Sanctuary: Grace House (which houses the O.C.W. office, as well as living quarters for Servant-Leaders); Hosanna House (our place of summer programs for both children and adults, as well as year-around special events and celebrations, plus lodging for Companions); both Esperance House and Agape House remain homes for Companions....
